Tips for Preparing Your Doggy for Portraits
Grooming Your Dog
Schedule a Grooming: Have your dog professionally groomed some 2-3 days before the session to ensure they look their best.
Clean and Brush: A bath the day before is ideal. Make sure to brush your dog to remove any loose fur.
Exercise
Burn Off Energy: Take your dog for a good walk or play session before the shoot. This helps them focus better during the photography session. Unless you want some action photos, we don’t want your dog exhausted before the session!
Treats and Toys
Bring Favourite Treats: Pack your dog’s favourite treats to keep them engaged and motivated during the shoot.
Familiar Toys: Consider bringing a favourite toy to help your dog feel comfortable and relaxed. A squeaky toy also to get their attention.
Session Preparation
Avoid Feeding Right Before: Don’t feed your dog immediately before the session. A meal a few hours prior is best to keep them interested in treats.
Collar and Leash: Bring a simple collar that can be easily edited out of photos. If your dog needs a harness for walking, bring it but switch to a collar for the actual portraits.
Relax and Enjoy
Stay Calm: Your dog can sense your energy. Try to relax and enjoy the session, as this will help your dog feel more at ease.
Be Flexible: Understand that dogs may not sit perfectly still. Embrace their natural behavior for more authentic portraits.
By following these tips, you can help ensure a successful and enjoyable photography session for both you and your dog.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
